Are my recorded screen or audio clips uploaded anywhere?
Never. Recording data is piped straight into an in-memory MediaStream Blob on your device. FixlyTools does not possess a recording backend or database. Your streams never traverse the web.
Do I need to install any browser extension or software?
No extensions or third-party desktop apps are needed. The tool runs purely on modern native browser standards (getDisplayMedia, getUserMedia, and MediaRecorder).
What format are the recordings saved in?
Recordings are saved in open-standard WebM (VP9/VP8 video with Opus high-fidelity audio) or MP4 depending on your browser platform. Files are fully compatible with Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, and YouTube.
